Hydrotalcite-Embedded Magnetite Nanoparticles for Hyperthermia-Triggered Chemotherapy
نویسندگان
چکیده
A magnetic nanocomposite, consisting of Fe3O4 nanoparticles embedded into a Mg/Al layered double hydroxide (LDH) matrix, was developed for cancer multimodal therapy, based on the combination local hyperthermia and thermally induced drug delivery. The synthesis procedure involves sequential hydrolysis iron salts (Fe2+, Fe3+) Mg2+/Al3+ nitrates in carbonate-rich mild alkaline environment followed by loading 5-fluorouracil, an anionic anticancer drug, interlayer LDH space. Magnetite with diameter around 30 nm, dispersed water, constitute hyperthermia-active phase able to generate specific loss power 500 W/g-Fe alternating current (AC) field 24 kA/m 300 kHz as determined AC magnetometry calorimetric measurements. Heat transfer found trigger very rapid release which reached 80% loaded mass within 10 min exposure applied field. potential Fe3O4/LDH nanocomposites treatment agents minimum side-effects, owing exclusive presence inorganic phases, validated cell internalization toxicity assays.

Investigation of magnetite Fe3O4 nanoparticles for magnetic hyperthermia
The paper presents the investigation of magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) dedicated to hyperthermia application. The crystal structure and size distributions have been determined by means of transmission electron microscope (TEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). Magnetic properties of the nanoparticles were tested by Mössbauer spectroscopy together with calorimetric experiments. The Mössbauer spectrosc...

Carboxymethyldextran/magnetite hybrid microspheres designed for hyperthermia.
Recently, organic-inorganic hybrids composed of derivatives of dextran, a polysaccharide, and magnetite nanoparticles have attracted much attention as novel thermoseeds. If they can be fabricated into microspheres of size 20-30 μm, they are expected to show not only hyperthermia effects but also embolization effects in human liver and kidney cancers. In this study, we examined the fabrication o...
متن کاملCoprecipitation Synthesis of CoFe2O4 Nanoparticles for Hyperthermia
Cobalt ferrite (CoFe2 O4 ) nanoparticles have attracted significantly attentions for spintronics, recording media and bioapplications due to their unique magnetic and chemical properties. In this work, single phase CoFe2 O4 nanoparticles were synthesized at various coprecipitation temperatures (60, 80 and 90 °C) without post calcination. The effects of oleic acid as surfactant on the microstruc...
متن کاملMonodispersed magnetite nanoparticles optimized for magnetic fluid hyperthermia: Implications in biological systems.
Magnetite (Fe(3)O(4)) nanoparticles (MNPs) are suitable materials for Magnetic Fluid Hyperthermia (MFH), provided their size is carefully tailored to the applied alternating magnetic field (AMF) frequency. Since aqueous synthesis routes produce polydisperse MNPs that are not tailored for any specific AMF frequency, we have developed a comprehensive protocol for synthesizing highly monodispersed...
